It’s no secret that skin texture is a primary concern for people of all ages, whether you have oily, dry, or combination skin, acne scars, or eczema. At Muji’s Shea Essentials, we make it our priority to formulate each of our all-natural products with these concerns in mind so we can offer you healthy, smoother, and softer skin.

The Cacao Collection contains all the elements of exfoliation in them to help eliminate dead skin and encourage cell turnover. The collection features a cacao body scrub, lip balm, and lip scrub, with a special free loofah exfoliator included. Also sold separately is our New cacao lip gloss! Hydration is EVERYTHING and is considered a major key in improving your overall skin texture. Muji’s Shea Essentials' products contain a specific type of hydrating element from shea butter-- a fat that’s been extracted from shea tree nuts. High concentrations of fatty acids and vitamins make shea butter an ideal cosmetic ingredient for nourishing your skin and maintaining both its progress and softness.

We have included a few of our favorite tips and tricks on how you can improve your skin’s texture with the help of a few Muji’s Shea Essentials products.

Cleanse Skin Regularly

Washing your face can seem like a chore, but failing to make it a habit can cause a whole host of skin problems. Kanika Tim, founder of Revita Skin Clinic says “Every person should wash their face both morning and night.”

If you can only commit to a wash once daily, do it before you go to bed, adds Dr. Joshua Zeichner, director of cosmetic and clinical research in dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital. This will help remove grime and oil that’s built up over the course of the day, along with things like makeup and sweat.

Incorporate Exfoliants Into Your Skincare Routine

Exfoliant elements work together to remove dead skin, reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, and brighten the skin’s overall appearance in order to reveal smoother-looking skin. Our Lemon Body Scrub is perfect for weekly exfoliation of the skin and can be used both in the AM and PM or just one or the other. The scrub lifts dirt and impurities of the skin with the help of our Lemon Body Cream made with nourishing Vitamin E, almond, coconut, and lemon oils.

Moisturize Generously

Many texture issues, including acne breakouts, are commonly the result of not moisturizing your skin enough. (Yes, contrary to common misconception, even oily skin needs to moisturize!) After your exfoliating routine, it’s crucial to moisturize your skin free heartedly in order to restore and maintain your skin’s delicate moisture barrier. The Whipped Shea Butter body moisturizer contains raw yellow shea butter from Nigeria, organic arrowroot powder from Thailand, an array of essential oils such as Lavender, Rose, Sweet Orange, along with other hydrating ingredients that work to keep your skin healthy and radiant!

With these helpful tips and tricks in mind, you should have all you need in order for your skin to achieve its smoothest and most nourishing complexion yet.
